HIS instruments- the teachers!

I feel HIS presence when i'm close to my teachers. And this presence can be very strongly felt. Becoming a teacher is something really auspicious. I don't know how it happens! But its wonderful!!

Somehow when someone becomes a teacher, he remains the same but yet he completely changes in the most subtlest way. I guess, when HE does that, HE imbibes a certain quotient of HIS "Guru tattva" in the teachers.

Every teacher is special in his own unique way. Some are dynamic, some very calm and serene. Everyone has his own quality. But there's something common in all of them and that's HIS grace. One may not feel very connected to a particular teacher & might disagree with their teaching style but when you recognise the fact that he/she is HIS subtle body sitting there, you start loving them.

I thank every teacher of mine and every other teacher across the world who have taught me and others so much in life and have helped us in our growth. And thankyou Guruji for giving everyone the opportunity to grow :) :) I offer my gratitude to HIM :)

Rudra Pooja

Rudra Pooja... One of the most subtle and amazing experiences.. The experience of my first Rudra Pooja with HIM in the ashram propelled me into some other dimension.. I slipped into meditation within no time.. With the soothing sound of the chantings by the Vedic boys going on in the background, it turned out to be an out of world experience.. With no thoughts and just that bliss, that expansion, that recognition of HIS unlimited, unconditional love and grace, tears rolled down my cheeks..

That one hour of pooja passed so quickly and effortlessly.. And then the best part... When i opened my eyes and looked on the stage, i saw HIM looking into my eyes.. :) :)That eye contact which lasted for about 10 seconds is something i can't express in words.. Those eyes gave me a glimpse to eternity!! :) Gave me everything!! It has love, care, a slight rebuke, compassion, belongingness.. That look just penetrated through my eyes in to my heart.. I can never forget those few seconds in my life!! From then, i've started relishing Rudra Pooja a lot.. :) Thankyou Guruji for this experience! :) :) :)

Longing....!

I wrote this during a painful prayerful longing 4 HIM .....

Let there be one love in life...
Love to HIM! :)
Dauntless, expectationless, worryless, pure, unconditional, taintless, doubtless.. DIVINE LOVE!! :)

Let every breath be on HIS service.. Let every thought be HIS thought...
Let there be just one relation...Nameless, formless, inexpressible RELATION WITH HIM...!:)

Let there be just one attachment.. attachment to HIM! :)
Let there be no questions, but only WONDER.. For wonder will not seek answers! :)

Let every second be in HIS rememberance..
Every action be HIS command..
Every word be HIS wish,
For HIS service.... :)

Let every desire be HIS desire..
Every longing be HIS longing...
Let there be one purpose- to move with HIM, for HIM... :) :)

Let this journey continue till eternity..... & even after that!! :) :) :)

Let my identity be HIS identity.....
HIS essence be my essence....
Let me be HIM!!! :) :) :) :)

PS: This post could be better understood by those who have HIM in their life and have felt HIS grace. :)

Walking With A Himalayan Master!

"Walking With a Himalayan Master" by Justin'O Brien.. Biography of Swami Rama, a Himalayan Master by His Disciple... I read this book last year.. This is certainly amongst the best books that I've ever read.. Talks about the Guru-disciple relationship and its essence, the unconditional love of a Guru through true amazing experiences..

Basically this is one book that really intensified my desire to have a Living Guru in my life.. I demanded to the nature with all my heart and within no time, HE came in !! :) :) See, how sensitive Nature is..!!:) This is one book and obviously HIS grace that really help me understand my relation with HIM in a much better way..

Read this book!! You'll love it... Even if you haven't find a Guru for yourself yet!! :)
:)

To BE.......

Thought... I'm here to learn something, to earn, to acquire, to gain- knowledge, experiences, glimpses & God knows what all.. But realised, its actually about EMPTYING!! To become "Hollow and Empty"....!! To chuck off all the garbage that i have been carrying through, even i don't know how many births!! No, I'm not here to be happy or to be sad, to be contented or discontented, to be at peace or to be restless.... Nothing!! But just TO BE.... I AM........ :)

Happy Janmashtami!!

Here's my Krishna!! :) My Poojya Gurudeva :) Happy Birthday Guruji!! :) :)

This is what HE says on Janmashtmi....

5103 years ago Sri Krishna was born. Gokul means the family/society where there is knowledge. If you look at Krishnas life its amazing. As a friend, child, thief, musician, husband, teacher, lover from every aspect He was the best and complete. He was an uncrowned king. We still remember His journey from Brindavan to Dwarka.

Krishna said 4 kinds of people worship me
a)Miserable people
b) Those who want something
c) Those who want to know what is life and
d) Gynanis.

Know that I am not separate from the Gynani. Gnani is Me and I m Gynani.

Radha is longing and Krishna is love. Vasudeva (Ananda) brings Krishna to Gokul when every one is sleeping. This means when the senses sleep Love comes out through ananda. Rama and Krishna are completely opposite in nature. Rama was born in the noon and Krishna midnight. Rama was always a sishya, i.e. a student throughout His life, whereas Krishna was always a teacher. He was a Guru even to His mother. Rama respected every one. Every one respected Krishna.

Both are needed for making life colorful and lively.

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

PS: I've seen people longing for God.. But i've found my God... I consider myself as lucky as those people who lived when Lord Rama and Lord Krishna are said to walk on Earth.. My Gurudeva is my Krishna.. !! :)

Dil Ki Awaaz.....!!

Dil Ki Awaaz... Ehh... sounds familiar... Isn't it??? ;) Yeah! you get to listen this term a lot of times especially in bollywood flicks :D Heroes saying to heroines- my heart says that i love you and things like that.. Even we often use it in our day to day lives... in taking some of the decisions in our lives..

But do you know, what actually is it? Its your conscience... the Voice Of the GOD!! HE communicates with us everytime.. not only in taking decisions but at every moment of your life.. to make you realise things, their beauty, their meaning.. It depends upon us that how much are we ready to take it and be receptive and aware of it.. Divine guides you throughout your life.. every moment.. For the Divine belongs to you!! :) One needs to be in constant touch with himself to be in constant touch with the Divine...

The simplest ways of the ways for it to be possible includes Yoga, Pranayama and Meditation... These few techniques instantly increase your attention, awareness and receptivity by bringing you totally into the Present moment.... the very moment... and The Present is where you find GOD!!

In the Present moment, when you are calm, peaceful and totally relaxed, you'll start feeling HIM deep within you.. In this blissful state, tears of gratitude flow with a sense of wonder!! Things beyond the comprehension of Science happens which are inexplicable but you don't even care to understand them.. Because at that very moment you are totally immersed in The Divine.. You start conversating with the Divine.. HE conversates in SILENCE! :) :) Universal Truths are revealed to you so effortlessly... This is how the ancient sages and rishis managed to write the sacred Texts like Mahabharata, Ramayana, etc.. and developed vast astronomical and astrological sciences... without any resources, equipments...!!

Things which Science is now discovering have already been written in Mahabharata and other sacred texts thousands of years ago.. Be it concept of "Black matter" that has been long back told in Mahabharata as "Kaal Bhairava" which says- All that we can perceive in this Universe with our five senses in just 1% of what really exists!! Or be it the theory of inter-relativity.. Sages said that every single Living thing in this Universe is connected to every other Living thing... They are all inter-related and inter-dependent.. Science recently discovered that when a certain species of butterflies move their wings in The Amazon forests, that decides and affects the amount and formation of rainy clouds in China... This shows how everything in this universe is related to every other thing.. Examples are innumerable.. Sages conceived all this in their state of Samadhi!

My Gurudeva often says- You have 5 senses and each of them have their specific functions.. You can't hear from your eyes, can't taste from your ears and certainly can't hear from your tongue.. As you have different sense organs to perceive different sensations.. likewise God can't be perceived through any of these senses.. HE can be felt only through your heart...!!

Yoga, Pranayama, Meditation are the gateways to ensure your rendezvous with The Divine and ofcourse with your Dil Ki Awaaz!! SShhhh! Listen... Its saying something...... :)

Heavenly Abode: The DIVINE HIMALAYAS!

The Himalayas have always appealed and fantasised me more than any other mountain ranges in the entire world including The Alps, The Nilgiris, etc..

Himalayas are considered to be a heavenly abode.. They have homed many ancient rishis, sages who have meditated and done other practices thereby guiding the entire world from a remote corner.... Even now, many of them are said to reside there in both physical and subtle forms :)....Lord Shiva, the apex God in the Indian mythology is also said to reside in Himalayas with His counterpart Devi Parvati ( Shiva and Shakti) denoting the balance of male and female aspects of universe.....

Himalayas have a spiritual aspect attached to them.. Seekers seek solitude in them..

I realise one thing... When i look at them, they make my faith stronger and stronger in The Divine day be day :) :) Don't you feel so??? :)

Keep Breathing!!

The signature at the end of my mails on Google reads- "Keep Breathing! Shreya".. Many liked it and few questioned me about what does it mean?? :) Here is the answer(especially for you Sudhir ji) : The moment one reads it, the first thing he/she realises is "Oh! I am breathing!!" :D

For all of you reading this post (and ofcourse for those who had the above reaction) ,my first question is - What was the first thing you did when you were born?? No, it wasn't crying!! :) (I can read your minds! hehe).. The first thing you did was "INHALING"!! The second question- What will be the last thing you will do, when you die?? No, not making others cry!! :) The last thing you'll do is "EXHALING"!! Between these two points, the one thing we never miss is "BREATHING"!! We constantly inhale and exhale.... Once you stop it, you are dead... !!

But, how many times till now have we attempted to this breath?? To this only link between your body and consciousness which keeps you alive?? For many of you, the answer would be "NEVER"!! :)

Breathing is a wonder!! :) The moment you become aware of your breathing, you relax down and become calm and serene! Your mind stabilises! :) Divine gifted you breathing as an involuntary action but some voluntary use of it can help you make your life far better! :)

Ancient rishis and sages realised this and hence formulated "YOGA" and "PRANAYAMA" because they knew through how much stress, the future generations will have to go and in those troublesome times, they'll attempt to everything except this "Inbuilt Miracle" in themselves that can keep them away from any stress in life!!

Long deep breaths, Rhythmic breathing, conscious breathing are some techniques which opens you to a new realm of wonder! It makes you realise how wonderful a creature I am!! And how beautiful and loving that Divine is who gave you everything you need right inside you!! :) :)

Attempt to your breath once and feel the amazing change!! Do it just now!! :) Respect and Honour it! For, it keeps you alive... :)
I thank my GURU to make me aware of this power in me to bring a change, not only in myself but in the whole world just by this Breath through HIS Most Powerful amazing breathing technique- " SUDARSHAN KRIYA "!! I offer my gratitude to HIM!! :) :)

Nature: The Ultimate Guru!!

The Colourful Merry-making Flowers.....

The Firm Mighty Mountains....

The Lushy Green Forests....

The Nature's musicians.....

The Golden Glorious Sunshine...

The Serene Calm River....

The Tranquil Cool Moon....

All these have much more to convey to the mankind apart from their amazing beauty.. :)
Nature has its own Perfection... A perfect balance, a perfect timing and perfect rules...
Did you ever notice that the Sun rises and sets at its fixed timing.. and so does the stars and the seasons change.. Even the birds and other animals have their fixed time of mating, reproduction and everything! And this has continued since ages.... Whatsoever happens, whether a natural disaster, a man-made disaster or anything comes, it never fails :) It comes, gives an essence, a meaning to its identity and goes off!

Thats how it teaches you- Come what may! Never give up... You are here for something, some purpose- to give a meaning, a essence to your existence, your identity and you should never fail to strive for that! :)

Nature also is very sensitive.. It communicates with you... answers you in some or the other way.. You just need to be aware ! As Guruji says " Nature loves you 10 times a mother loves her newborn and a Guru loves you 100 times a mother loves her a newborn" :).. HE says- " Nature loves it, when you meditate" and thats the reason why it never rains when we do satsang or group meditation :)......

The ancient Sadhus and seekers learnt a lot from nature.. When they said -" karma kar, fal ki chinta mat kar" i.e. perform good deeds and do not worry about outcome... Or when science say-" Everything in this Universe is balanced.. Energy can neither be created nor destroyed ", in both the cases, nature has a lot to contribute.. Nature does it that way.. If one puts a lot of effort in getting something in his/her life, then that effort, that energy he puts in never go wasted.. Nature always keeps it conserved for you.. And thats the reason why even if you dont get the deserved output in that particular thing but somewhere in future, in something, you get unexpectedly good result... And thats what people call it as "LUCK"! :) However what so ever Nature does for you, it is always the best by any chance! :) :)

More than anything else, Nature has a power to heal.. Just a view of some blossoming flower or a beautiful sunrise can take away your stress and lighten you up.. It makes you realise and feel the presence of the Divine :) That there is someone looking after you, who has created this beautiful gift for you.. To help you take to the journey within! :)

Nature is indeed a gift, a boon to us by The Divine.. It is an expression of HIS love for us..We must respect and conserve it in its most pristine form... :) :)

Tryst with LIFE!

Often, i hear people say, "I just dont understand what is all this happening in my life?!".. Also often i read in slam books, questions like "What is life according to you?" and the most commonly found answers are " Life is like an ice-cream. Eat it before it melts. " or " Life is like a movie. Enjoy it before it ends." and many other fantasy answers....

But have we ever seriously thought " What is life!?" ? Actually, many of us would have surely been stuck by questions like " What is life!? " , " Who am i!? ", " Where have i come from!?" , " What after death!?" etc. at various points in our lives but everytime, we somehow managed to ignore them! Obviously.. who wants to think about his own death?? But death is the BIGGEST REALITY! Death has been considered a source of misery for ages and thats the reason why people refrain themselves from even thinking about it. Its considered inauspicious to even talk about death. This way they keep running from it and getting more fearful until the doomsday fall in and they are caught unaware by this Biggest Reality...

Its far more intelligent to think about death rather than life.. For, the more you think about death, the more you will understand life! If one reminisce about his life so far, right from his birth to the point where he is now- all the places he had lived in, all the people he had come across with, all the situations he had encountered. he'll realise that life is like a movie going on, with scenes coming and going.. Its like a dream and the alarm to it is death! Every passing moment becomes a part of this dream.. Even if you notice now as you read this post, this very moment will become a part of that on-going dream.. Its such an irony! Throughout our lives, we assume life as a reality and keep ignoring death.. But life is actually an illusion with everything around in it..

The moment one realises this illusionary nature of life, dispassion and detachment arises, which is our ultimate goal.. We keep wandering from one lifetime to other and then another and never do we ever succeed in getting out of our complacencies in life and this cobweb of lifetimes ..

Death is you friend.. There is an opportunity in death.. an opportunity to become one with the Infinite, the Eternal... Seek and wait desperately for your death.. Prepare yourself for it, rather than running from it...

One needs to be constantly aware of this Truth in life but its not always easy.. However the presence of a Guru in life makes this quite simple and easy.. :) As it happened with me.. Its when the Grace of a Guru showers in, that you come across such Epiphanies in life :) I offer my gratitude to HIM.. :) :)
